Sayulita is easy to reach within an hour's drive North of Puerto Vallarta on Highway 200. The road crosses over the Ameca River just north of the airport into the state of Nayarit. The road passes through the pueblos of Mezcales, Bucerias, San Quitin, and picturesque village of San Ignacio before reaching the 3KM turnoff to Sayulita. The Sayulita journey passes through Banana, mango, papaya, tobacco plantations and on the way the road is dotted with road-side shrines paying homage to the sites of lost love ones.
